Job Title: Lumber Trader

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Lumber Trader to join our team at JM Hunter Group. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing new sales opportunities, generating new business, and ensuring growth of existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interact with customers daily via phone calls and emails to understand their needs and provide valuable offers.
• SOURCE NEW SALES OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH INBOUND AND OUTBOUND PROSPECTING CALLS AND EMAILS.
• Gain and retain extensive product knowledge as well as detailed comprehension of customer requirements.
• PREPARE AND SEND VALUABLE OFFERS DAILY.
• Negotiate transactional orders in order to satisfy customer needs while maximizing profit.
• EXECUTE TIMELY AND ACCURATE TRADES BASED ON MARKET DATA, MOVEMENT AND PRICES.
• Provide competitive market intelligence and insights to prospects and customers.
• ENTER ORDERS FOR ALL TYPES OF SALES, INCLUDING INVENTORY, DIRECTS, BACK-TO-BACK, FORWARD AND BLOCK BUSINESS ON BOTH DELIVERED AND CUSTOMER PICK-UP BASIS.
• PURCHASE PRODUCT FOR VARIOUS TYPES OF SALES.
• Handle inbound calls and provide callers with product and service information.
• FIELD CUSTOMER SUPPORT CALLS, FOLLOWING UP ON MATTERS SUCH AS DELIVERIES, CLAIMS, RETURNS AND OTHER CUSTOMER REQUESTS.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in sales or trading.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of lumber industry and market trends.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
