Avera St Mary's Hospital is currently seeking Registered Nurses (RN) III looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in our patient-focused settings.

Student Loan Repayment:

This RN position is eligible for Avera's Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps you pay off your loans and save money.

Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster.

Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional responsible for the delivery of patient care.
The nurse is guided by professional nursing standards.
The RN may direct activities of other nursing department personnel.
All nursing care functions/responsibilities are based on the ANA standards.
Staff is required to maintain a level of physical/mental health needed to perform their duties effectively.
Adheres to the Nursing Code of Ethics and St. Mary's Healthcare Center's Mission and Service Excellence Standards.
Education and/or Experience
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure in the State of South Dakota.
Participates in educational opportunities and updates/maintains current professional clinical competency related to areas of responsibilities.
Basic Life Support ( BLS ) is required for all patient care staff.
ACLS is required by 1 year of employment in E.R.
Trauma Nurse Core Course is required within 1 year in E.R.
PALS is required by one year of employment in E.R.
Attends all mandatory hospital and departmental meetings and in-services.
Certification in Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) within one year of employment.
Certification requirements to be maintained while working in the department.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
~ Current licensure with the State of SD as a Registered Nurse or multi-state licensure.
Work Schedule
Monday - Friday; 72 hours every 2 weeks
Rotate between day and night shifts
Every other weekend
Every other holiday
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
