Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center ID in the PACU department. As a Traveling Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to patients in the PACU department, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Perform various medical procedures, including IV starts, drips, and pain blocks.
  • Document patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in the PACU department.
  • Level 2 trauma hospital experience.
  • Ability to work variable 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts, including call shifts.
  • 36 hours per week plus call shifts.
  • Variable on-call expectations.
  • Variable weekend requirements.

Unit Specific Information:

  • Number of beds: 13.
  • Cost center: Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2.
  • Unit staffing description: RN's.
  • Type of equipment: Documentation system: Meditech.
  • Floating policy: May Float to Day Surg.
  • Patient Experience requirements: Additional Details.
