About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Litigation Attorney to join our Equifax Legal Team in Midtown Atlanta. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that Equifax is adequately protected in response to legal matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff a caseload of Fair Credit Reporting Act lawsuits in various courts, including federal, state, and small claims, against Equifax.
  • Partner with the business as an advisor on potential risk to prevent litigation activities and stay abreast of regulatory and compliance changes.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work independently, with paralegal support, to represent Equifax in the lawsuits as assigned.
  • Review complaint allegations, determine a strategy for responding, prepare answers and motions as necessary.
  • Work with outside counsel providing internal information and preparations for depositions.
  • Represent Equifax in discovery and trial as necessary.
  • Negotiate settlements where appropriate.
  • Manage a high-volume litigation docket.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of current experience in working in litigation as a practicing attorney with a corporation and/or firm.
  • Strong knowledge of FCRA.
  • Proactive approach to litigation prevention.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Juris Doctor.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Financial Services and/or Technology industry experience.
  • In-house litigation experience.
  • Experience working with the Google product suite.
