**Responsibilities:**

* Provide anesthetic care to patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures
* Perform preoperative anesthetic assessment, interpretation of data, and formulation of anesthetic plans
* Assemble equipment and supplies for anesthetic procedures and perform safety checks
* Administer medications, including controlled substances, by all routes
* Transport patients to recovery areas and provide oral/written reports of intraoperative courses
* Perform postoperative evaluations of patients
* Provide patient or guardian with risks, benefits, and anesthetic plans
* Perform emergency care outside the operative setting, including starting IVs, intubation, and airway management
* Maintain accurate and complete medical records

**Our Department:**

We're an ACT model with CRNA leadership, offering a wide scope of practice, including hemodynamic monitoring, regional anesthesia, ultrasound, and placement of lines (arterial and central lines). Our team shares a strong, cohesive culture of teamwork and collaboration.

**Qualifications:**

* Graduation from an accredited school of nurse anesthesia meeting the minimum standards set by the State of Alabama
* Completion of an accredited course in anesthesia residency
* Licensure with the State of Alabama as a Registered Nurse and certification with the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
