Position Summary:

We are in search of a dedicated and empathetic Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant with a robust background in assisting patients to regain their autonomy and engage in activities they cherish. This role involves working in our Out-Patient clinic associated with Bingham Memorial Hospital.

Key Duties:

  • Administer therapeutic interventions by guiding patients through manual exercises; motivating and assisting them in physical activities, including daily living tasks and the use of supportive devices like crutches and canes.
  • Educate and support patients by explaining therapeutic plans; providing insights on normal growth and development; and promoting overall wellness.
  • Enhance the effectiveness of physical therapy by identifying patient care challenges; offering insights and recommendations; and executing therapy directives.
  • Evaluate patient health through interviews, physical assessments, and reviewing therapy histories.
  • Analyze abnormal conditions by interpreting evaluations and test results provided by the physical therapist.

Required Skills and Attributes:

  • Deep commitment to facilitating activities of daily living.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage workload efficiently, complete necessary documentation, and work autonomously.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to assist patients with diverse physical capabilities.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and digital therapeutic tools is advantageous.
  • Valuing collaboration and open communication.

Qualifications:

  • Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant or Physical Therapy Program and current licensure in Idaho or eligibility for immediate licensure.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant.
