Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Transfer Center Nurse to join our team at Northern Light Health. As a key member of our Transfer Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth transfer of patients between healthcare facilities, while providing exceptional patient care and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Patient Flow Manager and House Managers to prioritize patient flow and optimize bed utilization.
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to Transfer Center Operations Specialist colleagues in bed management and transfer coordination.
  • Facilitate training and orientation for new employees, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Stay up-to-date with continuing education requirements and professional growth opportunities, ensuring you remain a knowledgeable and skilled practitioner.
  • Participate in weekly operational meetings and review minutes to stay informed and contribute to continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • 3 years of clinical experience, preferably in Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit settings.
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Maine.
Working Conditions
