Role Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will establish therapeutic relationships with patients and deliver care in alignment with the nursing department's policies and objectives. This role involves monitoring the health and safety of psychiatric patients and collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement patient care plans.
- Provide clinical guidance to direct care staff regarding patient needs.
- Administer medications and perform treatment procedures in accordance with nursing standards.
- Maintain accurate medical records and document patient observations.
- Assist patients with daily living activities and monitor vital signs.
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients.
Qualifications
Applicants must have graduated from an accredited LPN program and possess a valid nursing license in Georgia. A minimum of one year of nursing experience, preferably in psychiatric care, is required. Current BLS certification is also necessary.
Preferred Experience
Experience in long-term care or inpatient psychiatric settings is advantageous.
Skills and Abilities
Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent communication skills, proficiency in healthcare software, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while providing high-quality patient care.
