We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Georgia Department of Public Health. As a Public Health LPN, you will play a vital role in providing healthcare services to our community.
Key Responsibilities- Administer immunizations to patients of all ages, following established guidelines and procedures.
- Perform annual school and daycare immunization audits.
- Complete quarterly reports.
- Assist with annual scoliosis screenings.
- Participate in health fairs and educational programs.
- Perform TB screenings and administer PPD skin tests in clinic and outreach events.
- Prepare to respond to public health emergencies and respond as directed.
- Use computer technology to collect, store, and retrieve data.
- Participate in program planning.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- PH Licensed Practical Nurse Level 1 or 2.
- Vocational/Technical degree in licensed practical nursing from an accredited college.
- Current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- CPR certification.
- Completion of all necessary orientation and training for Public Health LPN.
- Public Health experience.
- Experience with screenings, immunizations, GRITS, and interviewing patients.
- Bilingual Spanish/English speaking language.
