Job Summary

Class Produce Group LLC is seeking a skilled Produce Selector to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for evaluating and selecting bulk produce orders according to our pick sheet in preparation for delivery to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pull Orders: Select and retrieve produce orders from our inventory based on the pick sheet.
  • Inspect Produce: Carefully inspect produce to ensure it meets our quality standards.
  • Remove Defective Product: Remove any defective or unsuitable produce from the order.
  • Scan and Stack Produce: Scan pallets/boxes of produce out of inventory and stack cases neatly and evenly on a pallet for safe transport.
  • Load Orders: Load orders onto customer vehicles or transport trucks from the dock, as needed.
  • Clean and Maintain Work Area: Clean and maintain the work area, ensuring it remains free of water and debris.
  • Operate Equipment: Safely operate an Electric Pallet Jack as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be able to read and write English and display basic arithmetic skills.
  • Experience: Produce experience is preferred, as well as 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment. Electric Pallet Jack experience is also a plus.
Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee is frequently exposed to wet, loud, cold, and/or humid conditions. The employee is frequently required to walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, rotate or twist, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
