Overview
Sigma Technologies, Ltd. is a leading engineering and design firm seeking a skilled Power Distribution Specialist to join our team. As a Field Service Technician specializing in power systems, you will play a crucial role in collecting accurate utility data, inspecting infrastructure, and ensuring the reliability of power distribution systems.

In this position, you will conduct field surveys and inspections of power distribution systems, collect data on utility poles, transformers, and other infrastructure using industry-standard techniques, and utilize GIS software and other tools to map and analyze field data. You will also collaborate with internal Project Management, Engineering and Design staff to ensure project success and adhere to safety protocols and industry standards.

This position requires overnight travel during the week, depending on the location of the work assignment, and utilizes your own vehicle for which mileage reimbursement is provided.

You will have the opportunity to interact with customers to perform walkout kickoff/scope meetings and/or to assist in the preparation of bid documentation, as well as communicate with outside parties to obtain right-of-way approvals and easements.

Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience and education.

Required Skills and Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required, prior experience preferred but not necessary, ability to read and comprehend engineering schematics, knowledge of construction and planning procedures, strong oral and written communication skills, ability to work in all weather conditions, willingness to travel overnight during the week as necessary, and valid driver's license and insurance that meets our minimum requirements.

You must be able to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word and convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately.
