About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our team in the Operating Room at Good Samaritan Medical Center. As a CST, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of surgical procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients
  • Assemble and complete case carts according to doctor's preference lists
  • Provide instrumentation, suture, and supplies as requested, maintaining a sterile environment
  • Assist surgeons by passing instruments during cases
  • Count sponges, needles, blades, and instruments using proper technique and established policy
  • Assist in maintenance and care of specimens and prepare for laboratory analysis
  • Handle specimens, implants, dressings, soiled instruments, contaminated materials, and sharps in accordance with established policy and recommended standards of practice
  • Assist with timely turnover of rooms, including clean up, replacement, and restocking of supplies and equipment
  • Care for instruments and equipment
Requirements

We require a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, a graduate of a formal, accredited Surgical Technologist program, and current NCCT Surgical Technologist certification (TS-C) or NBSTSA certification.
