Concrete Finisher Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at J.D. Abrams, LP in the El Paso Area.

This is a dynamic position responsible for ensuring high-quality finishes on concrete surfaces at job or construction sites.

• Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure concrete surfaces efficiently.
• Erect and check forms to guarantee they are well constructed, aligning them for sidewalks, curbs, and gutters as needed.
• Direct the casting of concrete and supervise laborers who spread it using shovels or special tools.
• Smooth, level, and finish concrete using a rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float.
• Mold expansion joints and pour concrete to ensure it is level and smooth.
• Monitor temperature, wind, and humidity effects on the curing process.
• Signal truck drivers to facilitate pouring concrete and move chutes to direct it onto forms.
• Mix and apply cementitious materials for surface defect repairs in cured concrete.
• Remove ridges, high spots, and rough projections with pneumatic chisels, power grinders, or hand tools.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and identify necessary upkeep.

This role requires the ability to work in extreme temperatures, wet conditions, and potentially hazardous environments. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and possess a strong attention to detail.

J.D. Abrams offers a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $60,000 per year, paid weekly, plus benefits including PTO, Health, Dental, Vision, TelaDoc, Employee Assistance Program, ESOP, 401K, and Development & Education Assistance Program.
