Infection Prevention Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Infection Preventionist to join our team at Brightwood Center in Follansbee, WV. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective infection prevention and control strategies to ensure the highest quality of patient care.

• Develop and implement education programs to promote infection prevention and control practices among staff.
• Conduct surveillance and monitoring to identify and investigate potential infection control issues.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement policies and procedures to prevent and control infections.
• Provide training and support to staff on infection prevention and control best practices.
• Monitor and report on infection control metrics and outcomes.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current registered nurse licensure.
• Specialized training in infection prevention and control within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum of three years full-time or equivalent nursing experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet with employees working evening and night shifts.
