Key Position Details:

1.0 FTE

8-hour, day shifts

M-F 8:30a - 5:00p, no nights, holidays or weekends

The Isles Clinic is located in Minneapolis / Uptown area

Job Description:

Nursing is the diagnosis and treatment of human response to actual or potential health problems. This includes establishing an intentional therapeutic relationship between a registered nurse and a patient and family.

As a leader and the integrator of care, the professional nurse has the responsibility, authority, and accountability for planning, coordinating and evaluating the patient's care needs.

Focuses on patients receiving care in an outpatient setting, playing a critical role in coordination and delegation of care. RN may delegate responsibilities to an LPN or MA based on scope of practice. Individuals in this role will work in an outpatient clinic setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessment: Collects, prioritizes and synthesizes comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
  • Diagnosis: Analyzes assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses.
  • Outcomes Identification: Identifies expected outcomes individualized to the patient.
  • Planning: Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes.
  • Implementation: Implements the identified plan.
  • Evaluation: Evaluates the patient's progress towards attainment of the outcome.

Qualifications:

Associate's or Vocational degree graduate of an accredited school of nursing

New graduate hires must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing which is inclusive of clinical rotations in an acute care setting (American Association of Colleges of Nursing or National League for Nursing)

Internal clinic employees who have functioned successfully as a CMA or LPN with a minimum of 3 years may be considered from an accredited school that does not have clinical rotations

0 to 2 years RN experience

May consider new graduate RN

Licenses/Certifications:

Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required if working in the state of MN upon hire

Licensed Registered Nurse - WI Dept of Safety & Professional Services required if working in the state of WI upon hire

May require both state licenses based on the services provided at the location hired

BLS Tier - Basic Life Support - Multisource required per American Heart Association guidelines within 30 Days

PEARSAH required for work in Urgent Care within 30 Days

RN-BC Ambulatory Care preferred

Intravenous Therapy (IV) Certification for working in Urgent Care within 180 Days required

Physical Demands:

Medium Work*: Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequently
