Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with IT teams to plan, deploy, and sustain a stable and highly performing infrastructure and application environment.
  • Own and manage the planning, deployment, and operational upkeep of ASRS' infrastructure and applications.
  • Proactively monitor, identify, and resolve complex infrastructure and application problems.
  • Promote team efficiencies and capabilities through DevOps/automation improvements.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation and procedures for systems and team functions.
  • Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.
Infrastructure and Application Management
  • Multi-tiered COTS applications.
  • Public-cloud services.
  • Physical and virtual servers.
  • Mid-tier storage arrays and SAN.
  • Security appliances.
  • Active directory and group policy.
  • Secure remote access, remote desktop/VDI.
  • Adherence to Incident, Problem, Configuration, and Change Management processes and controls.
  • Perform IT Service Management functions, including creating tickets, communicating with users/IT staff, and documenting progress/status.
Required Skills
  • Thorough understanding of multi-tiered application architecture.
  • Technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and client operating systems.
  • Technical knowledge of Linux Server operating systems.
  • Ability to automate operational tasks and routines using PowerShell and/or other automation platforms/methods.
  • Proven customer service skills and ability to work professionally with all levels of staff.
  • Proven organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-resolution skills and analytical/critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work within established operational policies and guidelines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs.
  • Experience working in a 24x7, mission-critical enterprise public cloud and on-premises data center environment.
Preferred Skills
  • One or more relevant industry-accepted certifications related to AWS, Cisco, Microsoft, VMWare, etc.
  • BS in Computer/Information Systems and/or five years of experience as a server/network administrator in a medium-large enterprise.
