Job Description

Gardner/Fox, a full-service design/build construction firm, is seeking an experienced commercial construction cost estimator to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, with a strong background in soliciting subcontractors and vendors for project bids, conducting subcontractor walkthroughs, and de-scoping subcontractor and vendor proposals.

Additionally, the individual will be required to perform plan take-offs utilizing Bluebeam and BIM software and import take-off information into Excel spreadsheets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solicit subcontractors and vendors for project bids
  • Conduct subcontractor walkthroughs
  • De-scope subcontractor and vendor proposals
  • Perform plan take-offs using Bluebeam and BIM software
  • Import take-off information into Excel spreadsheets

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction
  • Strong background in soliciting subcontractors and vendors
  • Proficient in Bluebeam and BIM software
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail
