Oncology Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Oncology department. As an Oncology Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Responsibilities- Implement and monitor patient care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate, collaborating with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team, ensuring a smooth transition to post-acute care.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
- The ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong technical skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Passionate about patient care
- Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Oncology Med/Surg experience
- Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
- Active unencumbered RN Kansas state license
- One year of Epic experience
- COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster
- Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills
- Participates in relevant continuing education programs
- Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients
- Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise
- A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital
