Positive Behavior Support Specialist

At Surpass Behavioral Health, we are dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of our clients and their families. We are seeking a compassionate Positive Behavior Support Specialist to join our team in Owensboro, KY.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviors.
  • Develop and implement Positive Behavior Supports Plans to promote positive outcomes and meaningful engagement in the community.
  • Provide direct support to participants and training to key stakeholders on the implementation of the plan.
  • Monitor and update behavioral services and plans in the educational setting and facilitate family support services/home treatment plans.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a behavioral science or human services field.
  • At least 1 year of direct experience working with an IDD population.
  • Valid state driver's license.
