Job Title: Lead MRI Technologist

Department: Radiology

Position Overview:
The Lead MRI Technologist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality imaging services. This position is part-time, with standard hours set at 16 per week.

Sign-On Bonus:
New employees with over one year of relevant experience may qualify for a $15,000 sign-on bonus, while those with less than one year may be eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct complex MRI procedures for both scheduled and emergency cases.
2. Review and assess requisitions for MRI imaging, ensuring appropriateness based on patient diagnosis and clinical indicators.
3. Identify patients in accordance with hospital protocols using two identifiers.
4. Select suitable equipment and technical parameters to accurately depict both normal and pathological anatomy.
5. Evaluate the physical and emotional status of patients and their families, tailoring care plans to meet individual needs.
6. Clearly explain procedures to patients and address any inquiries regarding the examination and magnetic field environment.
7. Adhere to MR Quality Control and Data Integrity workflows.
8. Utilize High Reliability Communication techniques to enhance patient care.
9. Provide exceptional service, responding to the unique needs of each patient and their family.
10. Report any equipment malfunctions through the designated application.
11. Assist in the organization and maintenance of daily operations.
12. Undertake additional tasks as assigned by management, including inventory management, quality assurance projects, and equipment maintenance.
13. Step in for management as needed, overseeing daily clinical operations.
14. Serve as a Board Runner Technologist.
15. Champion new technologies and processes within the department.
16. Mentor and train new staff, fellows, residents, and students in imaging techniques.
17. Participate in departmental and hospital meetings.
18. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications:
- Registered Radiologic Technologist with MRI specialization.
- Associate's Degree in Allied Health.
- Minimum of three years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
