Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our team at Texas Lehigh Cement Company. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, as well as troubleshooting any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including motor controls, low and medium voltage power, transformers, lighting, and safety devices.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including PLC control circuits and I/O drops, communication systems for data and control systems.
  • Conduct inspections and tests on electrical systems, utilizing testing tools such as multi-meter and meg-ohmmeter.
  • Use small hand tools to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair sensors, including temperature sensors, pressure devices, mass weigh systems, and control systems and instrumentation.
  • Work together with contractors to complete electrical projects.
  • Knowledge of different cement types and manufactured processes.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, schematics, and instruction manuals.
  • Ability to understand technical specifications with respect to equipment installation and operation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including PLC control circuits and I/O drops, communication systems for data and control systems.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Working Conditions

The Electrical Technician will work in a fast-paced industrial environment, with frequent exposure to dust, noise, and other hazards. The position requires the ability to stand for up to 8-16 hours per day, lift 50 to 80 pounds from the floor to waist height frequently, and push/pull 110 pounds for up to 50 feet consecutively.
