Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Physician to join our team at Northwest Acute Care Specialists. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, consultation, and collaboration with other providers in the Emergency Services department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine, diagnose, and treat illnesses and injuries in the acute care setting.
  • Provide immediate diagnosis and resuscitation care for life-threatening conditions, and direct the provision of such care in the prehospital setting.
  • Provide diagnosis and care based on medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests.
  • Document care delivered in a complete and current manner.
  • Provide supportive care to patients with serious medical and surgical conditions until care can be assumed by the appropriate specialist.
  • Provide definitive or interim care for conditions that cause discomfort or risk of worsening, requiring immediate attention.
  • May provide training to medical and nursing personnel in aspects of resuscitations, including identification and treatment of cardiac, traumatic, and infectious emergencies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University or College.
  • Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent.
  • Licensure/Certification: Board eligible/certified in Emergency Medicine.
  • Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the applicable state.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage heavy workload with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient in the use of computing hardware and software, including personal computing equipment, electronic medical record, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
  • Regular and consistent attendance at work.
  • Current licensure as required by specific governing board(s).
  • Must have a current Oregon MD license prior to start date.
  • Registered with Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and authorized to prescribe medications according to the Oregon State Board of Medicine.
