Job Summary:

Neighbors and Associates is seeking a skilled Boilermaker to join our team. As a Boilermaker, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of boilers and other large containers. This is a 100% traveling position, and you will be required to work on various union jobs, with hours and pay varying based on the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of boilers.
  • Cast and bend metal pieces to create boiler components.
  • Weld or bolt boiler parts together to ensure a secure and leak-free seal.
  • Test completed boilers to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly shut down and stored securely when not in use.
  • Conduct regular inspections and perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
  • Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers.
  • Complete required paperwork and records as necessary.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety protocols and encouraging others to do the same.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completed Boilermaker Apprenticeship Training.
  • Valid driver's license issued within the United States.
  • Ability to pass site-specific background checks and drug screens.

Physical Demands:

  • Occasional standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
  • Occasional reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to various weather conditions.
  • Typically moderate noise level in the work environment.
