Job Summary

The Concrete Dispatcher plays a vital role in the heart of the Summers-Taylor Concrete Division. This position involves constant communication with customers, plant personnel, and sales personnel to ensure seamless delivery operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with customers, sales personnel, and plant personnel regarding scheduled deliveries.
  • Facilitate orders based on job site locations, terrains, weather, truck capacities, and timing parameters.
  • Provide exceptional customer service skills, addressing customer comments, questions, and concerns.
  • Think critically to resolve issues and conflicts that arise.
  • Assist with customer payments when necessary.
  • Monitor, data enter, add, and change orders within scheduling software accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Strong computer skills and phone etiquette.
  • Ability to sit/stand for extended periods in front of computer monitors.
  • Prior experience in a dispatcher role, preferably in the concrete division, or equivalent industry experience.
  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist coworkers and supervisors with other duties as needed.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Compliance with drug screen, physical, and background check requirements.
