Job Summary:

The Line Cook position at Bluewater Casino & Resort is responsible for preparing high-quality, fresh hot and cold food items in the dining areas of the enterprise. As a key member of the culinary team, the successful candidate will perform duties related to food preparation and presentation, ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook a variety of hot and cold food items according to standardized recipes and methods.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen areas to maintain a safe and sanitary environment for guests and staff.
  • Maintain a neat and organized food preparation environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Monitor food costs and perform job responsibilities in a manner that minimizes waste and improves financial performance.
  • Sample food prepared to ensure highest quality levels at all times.
  • Maintain correct PAR levels and delegate food preparation tasks to other kitchen team members as needed.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of common culinary terms and methods, including broiling, braising, roasting, poaching, sauce preparation, and meat carving.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless food service operations.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-3 years of related experience in heavy food production within a multi-outlet facility.
  • C.R.I.T Community Environmental Health Food Handlers Card and any other required compliance trainings.
  • Valid gaming license from the CRIT Tribal Gaming Agency required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, event-driven environment and adapt to changing menu preparation and production methods.
  • Excellent guest service skills, strong communication, and teamwork abilities required.
Working Conditions:

The Line Cook position is an indoor role with occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet to moderate, with occasional exposure to flashing lights from slot machines and band lighting.
