Job Summary

Staff Today is seeking a skilled Correctional Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Correctional Medical Assistant, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our clients in a correctional facility setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care under the direction of nursing staff, including vital sign recordings and medical history updates.
  • Record and maintain accurate patient information, including medical history and treatment plans.
  • Assist nursing staff in maintaining medical inventory and administering prescribed medications.
  • Prepare and sterilize medical tools and equipment, and maintain a clean and healthy environment.
  • Build rapport with patients and demonstrate a compassionate and caring demeanor.
Requirements
  • At least one year (12 months) of previous working experience within the last 36 months (3yrs) as a Medical Assistant.
  • Up-to-date certification in the state of California.
  • CPR card issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
