Overview of the Role

Mercy is a healthcare organization dedicated to providing compassionate care and exceptional service. We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team.

About the Job

The MRI Staff Technologist will work under the supervision of the Administrative Supervisor and/or Director, operating a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatments of pathologies. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills, including knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and 3D imaging.

Responsibilities
  • Select appropriate imaging techniques and operate console and peripheral hardware
  • Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to PACS
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent, with a degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field
  • ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT registry or Advanced register eligible (Achieve advanced registry within 18 months of eligibility)
  • BLS Basic Life Support certification
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience in diagnostic imaging
  • ARRT or ARMRIT registration
