We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care team at SCH SJC. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with other disciplines to revise patient care plans according to changing patient needs.
Responsibilities- Document patient care and provide a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to revise patient care plans.
- Knowledgeable of preparation and administration of medications, including possible side effects and contraindications.
- Initiate patient teaching to patients and family members as necessary.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- BSN strongly preferred.
- Current registration as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
- Basic Life Support.
One (1) year GI Unit experience preferred or one (1) year of Operating Room experience or completion of a post-graduate Peri-Operative Program.
Working ConditionsNormal heat, light space, and safe working environment; typical of most office jobs.
Occasional exposure to one or more mildly unpleasant physical conditions.
Intermittent exposure to a few unpleasant physical conditions.
Frequent exposure to many disagreeable physical conditions.
Continuous exposure to extremely disagreeable physical conditions.
