Fleet Diesel Mechanic Job Description

We're seeking skilled Diesel Mechanics to join our team at Swift Transportation, one of the largest fleets on the road. Our Fleet Mechanics enjoy hands-on OEM training with manufacturers like Freightliner, International, Volvo, Cummins, and Detroit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment to appropriate specifications (OEM, DOT, Swift, etc.)
  • Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform minor and/or complex repairs for all equipment
  • Disassemble, repair and re-assemble of Heavy Truck & Trailer components
  • Perform tire maintenance to include: repairs, failure analysis, coding, identification
Requirements:
  • High School or combination of training and/or experience required
  • Demonstrated/proven superior customer service skills
  • Ability to use and learn various diagnostic software used on tractor/trailers
  • Must possess computer skills
Benefits:

  • Shift: Thursday to Monday 2pm to 10:30pm
