Job Summary

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to provide operations and maintenance (O&M) support for a complex Department of Homeland Security (DHS) effort. The successful candidate will work closely with application teams, end-users, and infrastructure teams to ensure the smooth operation of critical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide O&M support for mission-critical systems, including troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
  • Collaborate with application teams and end-users to identify and resolve system issues.
  • Work with infrastructure teams to ensure the availability and performance of critical systems.
  • Develop and implement solutions to prevent recurring problems.
  • Support 24x7x365 operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Utilize ticketing systems such as ServiceNow and JIRA to manage and track issues.
Requirements
  • BS/BA degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience or a Masters' degree with a minimum of 6 years of previous relevant experience; or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Experience with supporting applications within the AWS Cloud environment.
  • Experience with monitoring production applications and databases.
  • Ability to analyze recurring problems and initiate solutions for preventing reoccurrence.
  • Experience in supporting O&M 24x7x365 operations including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of ticketing systems such as ServiceNow and JIRA.
Desired Qualifications
  • DoS Top Secret or DHS Full-BI.
  • Solid experience with monitoring tools Dynatrace, Splunk, Kibana, and Grafana.
  • Configuration of hardware devices.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows scripting.
  • Software installation.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum Methodology.
