A-Team Solutions LLC is seeking experienced Registered Operating Room RNs for Full-Time contract positions at the VA in Seattle, WA.

Job Summary

We are looking for skilled RNs to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including Intensive Care Units, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Cardiovascular Lab, Emergency Room, Operating Room, and Gastrointestinal Lab. As a Registered Operating Room RN, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, performing critical care nursing, and assisting with GI Lab procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Perform critical care nursing to Intensive Care Unit patients.
  • Perform scrub and circulating duties in the Cardiovascular Lab and the Operating Room.
  • Assist with the GI Lab procedures and demonstrate competency in monitoring patients undergoing conscious sedation.
  • Obtain patient history and pertinent family history.
  • Assess patient and plan appropriate nursing care.
  • Document plan of care and care given in patient's medical record.
  • Verify transcription of physician's orders, no verbal orders are to be accepted.
  • Carry out prescribed physician's orders and document inpatient medical record.
  • Communicate pertinent patient data to charge nurse and/or physician as appropriate.
  • Re-assess patient's condition and revise plans of care based on identified nursing problem.
  • Administer medications and Intravenous (IV) therapies.
  • Possess knowledge of actions and usual dosages of most commonly used emergency drugs and their location on crash cart.
  • Assess and document patient response to medication that have been administered.
  • Be able to interpret cardiac rhythms and their implications.
  • Reorganize and initiate appropriate measures in emergencies/therapies and surgical/diagnostic procedures that shall be accomplished.
  • Instruct patient/family regarding prescribed medications/therapies.
Requirements
  • A current license in at least one (1) state, territory, or commonwealth in the U.S. or the District of Columbia.
  • Current certification in CPR by an American Health Association Vendor. Current Basic Life Support certification. If assigned to a specialty clinic, RN shall also have current ACLS certification.
  • A minimum of one (1) year direct patient care experience within the last three (3) years.
  • VA experience is desirable.
  • A minimum of one (1) year direct patient care experience within the specialty care setting to which being assigned.
  • A certification in the assigned specialty care area discipline is highly desirable.
  • Must be authorized to work in U.S.
