As a Medical Office Nurse RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical office setting. Your primary duties will include conducting patient assessments, developing and implementing care plans, and maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides complete patient assessments within their scope of licensure, including vital signs, medical history, and medication management.

• Develops and implements individualized care plans, working closely with healthcare providers to ensure seamless coordination of care.

• Maintains accurate and comprehensive patient records, including updates on medication reconciliation, allergy reactions, and test results.

• Triages calls, schedules urgent/emergent add-ons, and processes medication refills within their scope of licensure.

• Coordinates with the care team to ensure timely and effective care, and communicates with patients and families regarding their disease process and care management.

• Assists healthcare providers with examinations and procedures, preparing the patient area and setting up equipment as needed.

• Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address patient concerns and provide effective solutions.

• Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive patient information with discretion.

• Collaborates with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.

• Participates in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in patient care and medical office management.

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) or a related field

• Current RN licensure in the state of Michigan

• 3-5 years of experience in a medical office setting, preferably in a specialty care area

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations

• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs), practice management systems, and other relevant software applications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required, associate's degree in a related field preferred
