Job Title: Registered Nurse First Assistant

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse First Assistant to join our team in Hatfield, Massachusetts.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, Operating Room, and within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures, the Registered Nurse First Assistant will assist the surgeon in a lead role until the conclusion of the operative procedure.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the surgeon in a lead role during operative procedures
  • Provide perioperative care to patients
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical experience
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment in the operating room

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved School of Nursing
  • Current licensure as an RN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • Completion of an RN First Assisting course that conforms to the Core Curriculum set forth by AORN
  • Five (5) years diversified peri-operative nursing experience with both scrubbing and circulating proficiency
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification
  • ACLS and CNOR certifications
