Job Title: Electrical Controls Engineer

Join Middleby Packaging Solutions LLC as an Electrical Controls Engineer and take on a challenging role that requires expertise in electrical and electronic theory. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, programming, and troubleshooting state-of-the-art packaging machinery.

Responsibilities:
  • Apply principles of electrical and electronic theory to design, program, and troubleshoot packaging machinery.
  • Read and troubleshoot ladder logic within motion controls, including programming of servo drives (AB).
  • Design problem-solving skills and work in a team environment.
  • Support Field Service Technicians with program-related troubleshooting, including traveling to customer locations or remote support.
  • Create wiring schematics, program diagrams, and complete bill of materials.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience in capital equipment design and service.
  • 5-10 years of related electrical design experience.
  • Proficient in the use of CAD software for electrical design documentation, such as SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD, or similar systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in the design of Stepper motor, Servo, and touch screen controlled capital equipment systems or machinery.
  • Programming experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs or CODESYS PLC systems (Bosch RexRoth preferred, Siemens, Beckhoff, etc.).
  • Good organization, communication, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 30%-50%, including internationally.
