Responsibilities- Triage, assess, and treat patients, prioritizing their needs and managing multiple cases simultaneously.
- Provide general nursing care, act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure, and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts.
- Coordinate functions with physicians and other departments of the hospital, while being patient-focused and safety-aware at all times.
- Current Utah nursing license in good standing.
- Previous working experience in the ER as a registered nurse required.
- Associate's Degree in nursing required, bachelor's preferred.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
- American Red Cross of American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS) within six months of hire.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required within six months of start date.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred.
