About the Role:

Spectrum Health Systems is seeking a skilled Counselor to join our team. As a Counselor, you will be responsible for assessing and evaluating inmate needs, monitoring compliance with program and DOC rules, and facilitating classes and group sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate inmate needs to develop effective treatment plans
  • Monitor inmate compliance with program and DOC rules and regulations
  • Facilitate classes and group sessions as defined by curriculum and according to Spectrum Health Systems standards
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with Spectrum Health Systems and MA Department of Correction policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in criminal justice, human services, education, or a closely related field
  • DOC experience and/or Alcohol/Drug certification preferred
