Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Blount Fine Foods. This is a hands-on industrial maintenance position that will provide technical support to our maintenance and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, monitor, maintain, and repair ammonia refrigeration systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and motor controls systems.
  • Operate, monitor, maintain, and repair plant boiler systems.
  • Perform equipment preventive maintenance and track in a CMMS system.
  • Perform daily rounds documenting facility equipment performance.
  • Work with maintenance leadership and technicians to improve equipment reliability.
  • Communicate daily with plant and maintenance leadership on equipment and system status.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas.
  • Contact and maintain relationships with MRO vendors and OEM equipment vendors for technical support.
  • Work with and help manage contractors performing repairs on plant equipment.
  • Support the PSM program.
  • Provide documentation for EPA compliance records.
  • Help maintain critical spare parts and service parts inventory.
  • Continuously improve the plant PM program.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • College degree in a related field preferred.
  • Ammonia refrigeration operator certification preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance field.
  • PSM program experience.
  • Ability to be on call for emergency plant support.
  • Experience operating and maintaining industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.
  • Experience with CMMS.
  • Experience operating and maintaining industrial refrigeration and steam systems.
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience.
  • Troubleshooting motor controls.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Food processing experience preferred.
  • Cleanliness and organizational skills are a must.
