About the Opportunity

We are seeking experienced professionals to fill Senior Inspector positions within our Transportation-Construction Management team. As a Senior Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of construction projects.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and inspect construction activities to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Conduct site visits to verify compliance with construction plans and specifications.
  • Perform sampling and testing of materials and completed work.
  • Verify dimensions of prepared and completed work.
  • Inspect construction work and conduct field tests.
  • Track and measure completed work quantities for payment.
  • Perform survey checks.
  • Manage and coordinate the work of inspectors, ensuring accurate records and timely completion of tasks.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 8 years of construction experience, with 4+ years in roadway/bridge inspection or a Civil Engineering degree and 3 years of road and bridge construction engineering and inspection experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • A valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to obtain required certifications and pass relevant qualifications tests within specified timeframes.
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, climb, bend, twist, or stoop frequently and for prolonged periods, under various outside conditions.
  • Ability to reach horizontally and vertically for required tasks.
  • Ability to use construction or inspection safety equipment, including fall protection.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and shake up to 20 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

Consideration will be given to candidates with:

  • OSHA 10 Hour certification.
  • FDOT certifications.
