Job Summary

Are you a skilled and experienced truck driver looking for a new challenge? Do you have a strong commitment to safety and customer satisfaction? We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Truck Driver to join our team at CMC Steel Fabricators. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials to customers and contractors throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities

* Operate a commercial motor vehicle to transport goods and materials to customers and contractors
* Ensure accurate completion of delivery paperwork and communicate with production, sales, and customers to resolve any issues
* Work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following safety rules and regulations
* Drive trucks to weigh stations and along routes to document weights and comply with state regulations
* Ensure vehicles are properly loaded and secured, and products are delivered safely and timely
* Inspect vehicles for safety and operational defects and ensure emergency equipment is in working order
* Inventory and inspect goods to be moved to determine quantities and conditions
* Perform daily Pre-Trip, Inter-Trip, and Post-Trip Inspections
* Responsible for the delivery of products to customers, contractors, and jobsites throughout the region

Requirements

* Valid Class A Commercial Driver License required
* Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor/trailer experience required (3 years flatbed hauling over-the-road experience preferred)
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, weekends, and holidays
* Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs and work outside in various weather conditions
* Must be at least 21 years of age and have a clean driving record
* Must be willing to learn and tackle new challenges
* Must have effective listening and verbal skills to engage with internal and external customers
