Soccer Shots of Harrisburg & York is seeking a Development Coach to join our team. As a Development Coach, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality soccer programs to children aged 2-8 years old. Our mission is to provide a fun and engaging experience that fosters character development and physical activity.
**Job Description:**
We are looking for a dedicated individual who shares our passion for youth sports and education. As a Development Coach, your responsibilities will include:
- Coaching soccer sessions to groups of children, promoting a safe and inclusive environment
- Assisting with program planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Building strong relationships with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting on program progress
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong understanding of child development principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A valid first aid certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
**Benefits:**
We offer a competitive salary of $11 per hour, commensurate with experience. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to develop valuable skills and experience in youth sports coaching, program management, and customer service.
**Others:**
This internship will encompass a minimum of 120 hours over an 11- to 13-week period, with a maximum of 35 hours per week. Sessions will include daytime, afternoon, and weeknight hours as determined by the intern and the supervisor. Interns must commit to Saturday morning sessions that run no later than 12:45 p.m.
