Job Description

Oracle is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team. As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) for our clients.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for translating client goals into secure, high-performing OCI architectures. Your designs will prioritize scalability, reliability, security, and performance. You will collaborate closely with clients to understand their business objectives, technical needs, and constraints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design comprehensive, end-to-end solutions on OCI that align with client requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives, technical needs, and constraints.
  • Provide expert guidance on OCI's capabilities and best practices to help clients achieve their goals.
  • Lead the technical design and implementation of OCI solutions, providing direction and mentorship to technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assess existing on-premises or cloud-based infrastructure and applications, and develop comprehensive migration strategies and execute plans to seamlessly transition them to OCI.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of OCI resources, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
  • Ensure OCI solutions meet industry-standard security and compliance requirements, and implement robust security controls, encryption, and access management measures.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to optimize OCI solutions for performance, cost, and resource utilization, and leverage native OCI services and features to achieve optimal results.
  • Implement effective monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions on OCI to proactively identify and address performance issues and security threats.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a cloud architect or a similar role (5+ years).
  • Strong understanding of cloud design principles, including security, scalability, and performance.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services and capabilities a plus.
