We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pediatric Travel Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing exceptional nursing care to children from newborns to 21 years of age in an outpatient pediatric clinic setting.
Certification Requirements:
- Current certifications in ACLS, PALS, NRP, and CHEMO as per unit/specialty guidelines.
- Acknowledgment of the HIPAA Safety Manual.
- NURSYS verification is mandatory.
- Completion of pass/fail testing (EKG/Medication) and competencies specific to the unit.
Job Specifications:
- Specialty in Registered Nursing with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Ambulatory Nursing, specifically in Pediatrics.
- Experience in managing patient diagnoses, including:
- Medication management and vaccine administration.
- Urinary catheterization.
- Care for a diverse range of urgent care patients (e.g., asthma, fevers, rashes, generalized pain).
- Proficiency in performing venipuncture and point-of-care testing for strep A, urine, and HCH as ordered by healthcare providers.
- A valid nursing license must be obtained prior to commencement of the role.
Additional Requirements:
- BLS Certification is essential.
- Acceptance of a pending license for submission is allowed, provided the following documentation is available:
- Date of application submission.
- Application #/Pending #.
Documentation System:
- Experience with Cerner is preferred.
Work Schedule:
- Shift hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Important Notes:
- A government-issued photo ID is required.
- Specific guidelines and requirements for badge photo presentation must be adhered to.
- Completion of facility-specific modules and training is necessary prior to starting.
- A physical examination, including Latex Allergy information, must be completed within 30 days of starting the position.
