Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all facets of tax accounting and compliance, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
2. Prepare and review accurate and timely tax returns.
3. Develop and implement strategic tax planning for federal and state tax obligations.
4. Manage the tax team in preparing components of the company's federal and state tax returns.
5. Conduct complex tax research and prepare documentation for ongoing tax initiatives.
6. Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial and tax audits.
7. Evaluate current tax processes and procedures, providing recommendations for enhancements.
8. Stay updated on tax laws and industry regulations, offering guidance to the team and senior management.
9. Serve as a primary contact for tax-related inquiries, providing expert advice and support.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree in Taxation or CPA designation is advantageous.
2. At least 5 years of progressive experience in tax preparation.
3. Strong understanding of tax regulations and laws at federal, state, and local levels.
