We are seeking a highly skilled Hospital Medicine Physician to join our team at Memorial Hermann Health System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing medical expertise and oversight of care to patients within our system.
Key Responsibilities- Attend and participate in hospital multidisciplinary rounds to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Cover Code Blue and Rapid Responses in accordance with campus protocols.
- Provide co-management services for subspecialty services within designated privileges.
- Consult with members of the Medical Staff on patient care matters.
- Accept transfers of care from other clinical service lines with proper physician-to-physician handoff communication.
- Provide timely evaluation of patients admitted to the hospital in accordance with Medical Executive Committee bylaws.
- Abide by hospital tenants, guidelines, and bylaws.
- Document History and Physicals within 12 hours and Discharge Summaries within 48 hours of discharge order.
- Maintain current understanding of regulatory environment related to status and status patients.
- Provide post-discharge coverage for home health orders as needed.
- Encourage in-network utilization of resources for continuity of care.
- Graduation from an accredited school of Medicine.
- Current state medical license.
- Current Federal Drug Enforcement Agency license.
- Staff privileges at all hospitals for which coverage is being provided.
- Board certified or Board eligible.
- Basic Cardiac Life Certification or Advanced Cardiac Life Certification.
