We are seeking an accomplished Associate Dean of Research to spearhead research initiatives within the College of Veterinary Medicine at BridgePoint Associates, a prestigious healthcare university based in the Southwestern U.S.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced academic professional with a proven track record in research and leadership to drive research excellence. As the Associate Dean of Research, you will be responsible for developing and implementing research strategies, securing grant funding, and collaborating with partners across the institution.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with the Dean on research-related matters to achieve research excellence.
  • Manage a collaborative research program and lab in veterinary medicine, overseeing the work of Lab Managers, Research Specialists, and Assistants.
  • Provide guidance to faculty and department chairs on funding opportunities, IRB & IACUC applications, grantsmanship, study design, and research methods.
  • Evaluate research performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with research regulations and provide oversight of research activities.
  • Mentor junior faculty and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Qualifications:
  • Approximately 5+ years of relevant academic experience, preferably in an administrative role.
  • An advanced degree (DVM, VMD, PhD, MD, or DO) and a strong publication history.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, commitment to teamwork, and ability to collaborate with partners across institutions.
  • Extensive experience with research and grant funding, including NIH and USDA grants.
  • A proven track record of scholarly achievement and authorship.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $175,000 - $225,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Relocation assistance may be provided by the organization if needed.
