Join the Wiese team as a dedicated technician in the field of material handling equipment. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to travel to various client sites and perform essential maintenance on a range of equipment.
As an entry-level technician, you will engage in basic repairs and gain valuable experience under the guidance of seasoned Wiese professionals. This role offers a pathway to advance your skills and eventually transition into more complex diagnostic tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct preventative maintenance and repair work on various material handling equipment, including forklifts and aerial lifts.
- Act as the primary liaison between Wiese and our clients, ensuring professional representation and exceptional service.
- Manage your assigned area effectively, treating your responsibilities as a small business.
- Utilize a company vehicle for job dispatching and maintain communication through your laptop.
Specific Duties
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment at client locations.
- Install batteries and assess electrical systems.
- Inspect and evaluate tire conditions.
- Operate and test various equipment.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn diagnostic and repair techniques.
- Keep an inventory of parts necessary for your service vehicle.
- Complete and submit all required documentation promptly.
- Provide outstanding customer service, including suggesting additional services based on client needs.
- Effectively manage your workload and schedule.
Qualifications
- Conduct hazard assessments and uphold high standards of safety and quality.
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge through a skills assessment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces.
- Comfortable working at heights exceeding 25 feet.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Provide your own hand tools for the job.
- Familiarity with computer systems and the ability to learn software for online work orders.
- Exhibit strong customer service skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
All candidates must undergo a pre-employment drug screening, physical examination, background check, and motor vehicle record check.
