We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Maybrook Hills in Altoona. As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated LPN to provide high-quality care to our residents. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist CNAs in performing ADLs and routine care
  • Conduct resident/patient treatments
  • Administer medication in accordance with physician orders and Plan of Care
  • Submit pharmacy orders
  • Accurately document and record all information
  • Give injections of medication as prescribed
  • Observe resident health to communicate current condition to RNs, Supervisors, and Physicians
  • Take vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight
  • Basic care, including wound cleaning and bandaging
  • Manage IVs, start IV drips
  • Monitor fluid/food intake and output
  • Observe and report resident accidents, incidents, and the presence of skin breakdowns
  • Assist as directed in the admissions process
