BOP Technician

Graco Oilfield Service is seeking a highly skilled BOP Technician to join our team. As a BOP Technician, you will be responsible for installing and field repairing blowout preventers in accordance with industry procedures to minimize downtime and maximize utilization.

• Servicing and Maintenance: Servicing blowout preventers, pack offs, reel swivels, lubricators, iron and downhole tools, and performing regular inspections and maintenance of the BOP system to ensure optimal performance.
• Repair and Testing: Examine, repair, test, and maintain products at the rig site or in the shop, and performing and documenting all pressure tests for these components after service.
• Inventory Management: Obtaining and maintaining an inventory of expendable materials and parts for these items.
• Field Service and Support: Providing field service and customer support, including equipment removal, tear down, troubleshooting, evaluating, repairing, testing, and installing.
• Communication and Collaboration: Communicating with clients, supervisors, engineers, production control, quality, and other shop personnel to ensure effective job execution.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: At least three (3) years' experience working with servicing BOPs and/or downhole tools.
• Skills: Good knowledge of BOP systems and drilling operations, ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals, strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, and good communications and organizational skills.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift a minimum of 100lbs and pass the work steps physical.
