Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Data Scientist to join our team at Evolent Health to shape the future of healthcare. This role is perfect for someone passionate about leveraging AI to make informed decisions, reduce healthcare costs, and improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Construct advanced SQL queries to scrutinize healthcare data, track key product usage metrics, build feature sets, generate reports, and perform complex analytics tasks to improve our product.
  • Work on unstructured text data to build machine-learning models for information retrieval applications.
  • Influence and contribute to Evolent's core product by architecting key components for automating and simplifying the AI-creation process of turning raw data into smart decisions.
  • Collaborate with a team of Data Scientists, clinicians, and engineers to drive the development and maturation of our AI solutions.
  • Establish processes for rapid impact, feedback, and iteration of solutions with Evolent's internal clinical staff and customers.
  • Develop and deploy cutting-edge machine learning, NLP, and LLM models to solve the most pressing problems facing healthcare today.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field.
  • 2+ years advanced experience in SQL, including experience writing new and efficient SQL code and complex analytical queries.
  • 1+ years of experience in building data science extractions and prompt engineering.
  • Experience with the use of a programming/scripting language (Python, and SQL) for building data pipelines.
  • Passion for solving problems within healthcare that have tangible impacts on patient lives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience with developing and deploying machine-learning systems.
  • Experience with developing and deploying products in production with Python.
  • Familiarity with high-performance computing and distributed computing like Spark, Dask, Hadoop, and CUDA distributed GPU.
  • Hands-on experience with deep learning architectures and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras.
  • Experience with NLP libraries and tools like Spacy, NLTK, Stanford Core NLP, Genism, and JohnSnow Labs.
What We Offer

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance benefits, to qualifying employees. The expected base salary/wage range for this position is $110,000 - $125,000, and this position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors.
