Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Van Metre Companies. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our properties, including apartments, buildings, and grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs, inspections, and janitorial services
  • Assist the Service Manager with directing and overseeing all aspects of maintenance
  • Respond to resident service requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of all tasks completed
  • Manage inventory and storage areas, purchasing adequate maintenance materials as needed
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of maintenance experience or valid training
  • Universal CFC Certification preferred
  • Strong understanding of appliance, electrical, and plumbing repair
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC and electrical circuitry
  • Current on OSHA, building, and safety standards
  • Valid drivers' license
